I was hoping that the old tires that came on the Volvo would last a little bit longer than that. I lifted the right side to check out some creakings, and this came out to greet me when I put it back down.

And of course, the tire iron is MIA.

That tire wear is a bit concerning, too. Doesn't seem very even, but it's hard to tell from the photo.

Yes, in the process of ruining the tire, I discovered that the boot on both control arma is splitting.

I'm guessing ball joint or alignment issue - the outside edge is worn more than the middle. Can't see the inside edge - if it's worn too, could just be underinflation.
